A BABIES CRY ROCKED THE WORLD

A BABY'S CRY ROCKED THE WORLD.
Gloria Phifer

In the dimly lit stable in Bethlehem, Mary, a virgin, gave birth to THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

How long had mankind longed to hear the Voice of God.  The Word that created the worlds (Genesis 1, John 1, and Heb.1:2) became a baby.  His Voice was first heard as the cry of a Baby.

His Voice, The Voice, The Voice of Almighty God, was heard by the ears of mankind.

Matt: 11:28-30 "Come unto Me all you who labor
And are heavy laden and I will give you rest…"

We can now read His Words…His Voice recorded in the New Testament, and it all
Began with a Baby's first cry in a stable.

A CHRISTMAS STUDY...EMMANUEL...GOD WITH US.

EMMANUEL…GOD WITH US

Gloria Phifer

Our God is a "Giver." John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

ü      What are your thoughts about God being a Giver? That God gave His very Best? What about His love for this world?

Isaiah 9:6 For unto "us" a Child is born, unto "us" a Son is given.

ü      Notice: this Child, this Son was given for "us!" what are your thoughts?

ü      The government is on His shoulder and His Name shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE. KJV

ü      When you look at these Names what stands out to you?

This is something that I need to meditate on.  All of them are so profound.  This Wonderful Child will be given His government…upon the throne of David. HE IS THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Think of the Mighty God becoming a Seed in a woman's womb. Allowing Him self to become a baby coming from the womb of Mary. To become vulnerable to man kind. The wonder of it all!

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; BEHOLD
A virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son and shall call His Name IMMANUEL.
GOD WITH US!!!

ü      How personal this is to us. What are your thoughts that He came to be with us?

THE ANNOUNCEMENT
(Nazareth in Greek means "The guarded one.") I thought this was interesting. I am sure the angels were guarding Mary, Joseph and especially Jesus Christ…the Holy One. I wonder what the angels thought of the Lord of Hosts, Captain of Heavens Armies, becoming a baby. Hebrews 1:5 & 6. Heb. 2:16, 1 Peter 1:12.   Soon, the angels will be sent to announce the birth and light up the sky. I don't know what all of God's universe consists of, but I've always wondered if all the universe stood in awe as Almighty God took on flesh to dwell upon us. The wonder!!!
ü      Thoughts

Luke 1:26-56. Mary is a young virgin. Gabriel, (Strong's…"Warrior of God or Man of God. an Archangel) the Messenger from God, came to the small town of Nazareth to bring her a message. Notice 31 and 32 The NAME…JESUS…HE SHALL BE GREAT AND SHALL BE CALLED THE SON OF THE HIGHEST!!! VS. 35…CALLED THE SON OF GOD.

JESUS means "Jehovah is Salvation!!!"   JESUS THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES… Philippians 2:5-11. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess…JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.
Romans 10:8-13.
ü      What are your thoughts about Jesus and His wonderful Name?

I love the Name of Jesus. (I love Jesus!!!) I can't begin to count the times in my life (really daily) that I call on the Name of Jesus. There is no other Name as wonderful and powerful. God, His Father, gave Him this NAME.

Acts. 3:1-10 and vs. 15 & 16. The Prince of Life…Through faith in His Name this man was healed. There is Power in the Name of Jesus.

ü      As I read about the power in the Name of Jesus it increases my faith.  What about you?

Jesus came in the "fullness of time." Gal. 4-7. He came to make us sons of God. I love the 'Fullness of time!" This plan was from the foundation of the world. Rev. 13:8b. "The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." John 1:12-14.  The Word was made "flesh" and dwelt among us…the Glory of the Only Begotten or the Father, full of grace and truth. (He came to "tabernacle" among us.) He put on flesh in order to dwell with us.
ü      What are your thoughts that He took on flesh and became a human being so He could be with us.? Emmanuel…God with us.

(When you have time read all of Luke 1…Elizabeth, Mary's cousin is pregnant with John the Baptist).

Mary is a virgin. She is legally bound to be married to a man named Joseph who is also from the tribe of Judah. They are descended from King David.  When Joseph found out she was pregnant he was upset. Matthew 1:18-25.  Once more we see the Name Emmanuel…God with us (vs. 23) and once more we see the Name…JESUS!!!  For He will save His people from their sins.
ü      Here is our Savior.  What are your thoughts?

I remember as a child being told that Jesus loved me. The song "Jesus loves me" would come to me during my young years when I was in a desperate place. When I thought life was not worth living…this song would come to me.

JESUS LOVES ME…THIS I KNOW…FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO. Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me… for the Bible tells me so.

Thank You Heavenly Father for giving us Your Only Begotten Son Jesus…We give you praise!!!  EMMANUEL…GOD WITH US! OUR SAVIOR JESUS!  All glory to Emmanuel!!!
I wanted us to look at a prophesy Zechariahs (John the Baptist father gave when John was born concerning the Messiah.) Luke 1:78-79 "Through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the Day Spring from on High has visited us. To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."
ü      Your thoughts on this incredible prophesy?

I am very touched that it was the tender mercy of God that Jesus Christ…the Day Spring from on High visited us…to give us light in our darkness and to guide our feet into the Way of Peace. (Jehovah Shalom…the Lord our Peace.)  The Prince of Peace.

THE BIRTH
Luke 2:1-7. Bethlehem means "House of Bread." The Bread of Life was born there.
Swaddling meant "To strap or wrap with strips. To swathe an infant after the oriental custom…wrap with swaddling clothes. "Strong's Conc.

I find it interesting that the Roman government made this degree that the whole world would be taxed. This brought Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem. (God can use governments to get His will done.) Micah 5:2. Out of this little town would come The Ruler in Israel. (This prophesy was given somewhere around 750 BC .KJV.)
ü      What are your thoughts? I love prophesy. We know God had a plan…Praise Him!!!

Our Creator, the Mighty God, came from the womb of a woman and became the Son of Man. (Jesus called Himself: The Son of Man. Matt. 18:11) was wrapped and held by His mother. He was a baby. He had been a Seed, given by the Holy Spirit, developed in the darkness of the womb, came through the birth canal into the dim light of the stable and took His first breath. How astounding. He was not born in a palace…He was born in a stable (perhaps even a cave) used for the animals.)

ü      Thoughts?

There was no room for Him in the inn. I think of our society now.  Is there room for Jesus?  Why is His Name blasphemed? Why do they want to destroy the real meaning of Christmas? Why do they want to take Jesus out of Christmas?  Because the enemy wants to remove Jesus from the consciousness of mankind. But, Jesus will never be removed!!!   To remember and believe in Jesus means HE CAME!!! And He came with purpose…the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)  We will all die (unless the rapture comes first) but Jesus was born to die for you and me…so we could have life abundantly.

What love!  He left His place in Glory and come to this sinful world…to become the Son of Man. For you and me.

PEACE, GOOD WILL TOWARD MAN.
Luke 2:8-20. Angels announce His birth…"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
ü      If you had been one of the shepherds and the sky lit up with angels giving this announcement…what would it have been like for you?

The first ones to hear the news were the shepherds. How appropriate…The Good Shepherd had been born. John 10:11-14.  Jesus said" I Am the Good Shepherd."  HE CAME…for His sheep. All glory to God!!

We will not take the time this morning but when you have time read about Him being taken to the Temple and presented to God His Father. (Luke 2:21-40.)
WISE MEN SEEK THE KING OF THE JEWS
Matt. 2:1-15. (Jesus was born in Judea…Strong's...Greek...Judaea…means "He shall be praised.")
ü      Who were these wise men?  Strong's Greek. "Magos" a Magi an, oriental scientist, wise man. The name given by the Babylonians, (Chaldeans), Medes, Persians and others to the wise men, teachers, priests, physicians, astrologers, seers.

King Herod was troubled and all Jerusalem with him vs.3.

ü      Why do you think all of Jerusalem was troubled along with king Herod?

Tradition says "three wise men", but there could have been quite a procession. There may have been more wise men; plus the ones who traveled with them.

Concerning the star…there is a prophesy in Numbers 14:17

They had seen His star in the East and came to worship Him. Notice vs. 11 "They came into the house."  They were no longer in the manger.

ü      What were the gifts given to The Child?

Gold: Given for a King. Strong's "perhaps furnishing what is needed." Frankincense. Greek…"libanos" the incense tree. Incense itself…frankincense. A white resin burned as fragrant incense. Myrrh: Greek "Smyrna…A bitter gum and costly perfume; also an antiseptic…it was used for embalming. A perfumed ointment.

LASB: FOOTNOTES:" These wise men gave these expensive gifts as worthy acknowledgement for a future King. Bible students have seen in the gifts symbols of Christ's identity and what He would accomplish. Gold was a gift for royalty; frankincense was a gift for Deity; and myrrh was a spice used to anoint a body for burial.  These gifts may have provided the financial resources for the trip to Egypt and back. "

ü      What are your thoughts concerning these three gifts…given to The King?

Emmanuel…God with us. Jesus, our Savior, Who took on flesh and dwelt among us. Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, The Everlasting Father and The Prince of Peace.

THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Gloria Phifer

The Hebrew is taken from Strongs Concordance

Who is the Person of the Holy Spirit? How would you explain the Holy Spirit to someone?
Genesis 1:1-3. In the beginning…God created the heaven and the earth.  We have studied this portion before…we are now looking at the Holy Spirit in creation. God in Hebrew (in this portion of scripture) is Elohiym." It is especially the plural of the supreme God. The true God. Deity. Elohiym comes from the Hebrew word "El" "Strength, mighty, especially The Almighty. God. Great, Mighty One, Power, Strong. God the One true God…Jehovah. "Notice, this is a plural Name. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:26 And God (Elohiym) said, let Us make man in Our image. (Plural).)
Any thoughts on Elohiym?

The Spirit of God (Elohiym) moved upon the face of the waters. Spirit in Hebrew is "Rawach"…roo-akh. Wind, by resemblance breath. Breath, mind, spirit. Wind in Heaven. Breath of air. As Gift preserved by God. God's Spirit, departing at death. Spirit of God. The Third Person of the Triune God. The Holy Spirit, Coequal, Coeternal with the Father and the Son. Energy of life. As manifest in the Shekina Glory. To blow…breathe"
What specially stands out to you in this description of the Spirit of God in Hebrew?
I loved "Wind in Heaven." And Energy of Life…and Shekina Glory.

The Holy Spirit moved over the face of the dark water.  Moved in Hebrew "rachaph" (raw-khaf) to brood. To be relaxed. Flutter, move, and shake. To grow soft. Relax. To hover.
He brooded over the darkness. It reminds me of a bird brooding over her nest to hatch her offspring…to bring forth life out of those eggs. The Holy Spirit hovered over the darkness…over the chaos.
Elohiym said (said in Hebrew…Amar) "To say with great latitude. Call, certify, challenge, charge, command. To declare, expressly, Speak, to intend." Our Creator had an intention.
"LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!"

The Holy Spirit broods over our darkness and God speaks "LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!"  And we see Jesus (The Light). The Holy Spirit convicts us that we are sinners and He reveals to us our need for our Savior Jesus Christ. (John 16:7-11.)

My life was in darkness and chaos. I remember when the Holy Spirit hovered over my life, convicting me of sin and drawing me to Jesus Christ. When I accepted Jesus, just like you, I became a new creation. 2 Cor. 5:17.
Have you pondered the thought that in Christ you are a new creation?

Gen. 2:7 The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Life. Breath- "Chayah (khah-ee) To breathe, blow, to cause to breathe out. Life, living, alive, sustenance, be quickened…to live…to give life.
Gen. 2:4-7. It is always interesting to me that when Elohyim begins to speak about man He becomes" Lord God." The Name Lord in Hebrew is "Jehovah" Jehovah Elohyim. Jehovah is a Covenant Name. He is a Covenant God. He keeps His covenant with man.  Hebrew "Jehovah…the existing One. The proper Name of the One True God. From another Hebrew word "Hayah (haw-yaw) To exist. Be in existence."
Many ask "Is there a God?" Here is the answer.  Hayah…the only true God exists!!!
            HE IS!!!

The Breath of God…the Holy Spirit of God… breathed into Adam and he became a "living soul" Hebrew "nephesh" a breathing creature. Person, that which breathes. The breathing substance of being, soul, the inner being of man. Living being, with life in the blood. Alive!"

Let's talk about being alive. How we breathe, without effort. How oxygen is provided for us in the air we breathe. When we come from our mother's womb and we take our first breath. When our children were born and we heard them take their first breath and cry.
How awesome were those cries to me. All my children were "red-faced" and crying. (Adam means" red" as having the blood flowing through."

The Holy Spirit is the Life Giving Spirit of God. He is the Resurrection Power that raised Jesus from the dead. Romans.8:6-11. The Resurrection Power of the Holy Spirit, that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. Hallelujah!!!

THE RISEN SAVIOR

by Gloria Phifer

Isaiah 52 and 53 are Prophetic. Revealing to us what Christ paid for us by His suffering, death and resurrection.

.  He laid down His life for His sheep.  John 10:11, 15-18.
He had the power to lay down His life and the power to take it again. Ps. 16:1-11.
We see Jesus talking to His Father, Oh God…preserve me in vs. 1. In vs. 5 He speaks of His inheritance.

Beloved, what is His inheritance?  Hebrews 12:2……Who for the "joy" that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame. What are your thoughts when you
realize you are His inheritance…you are His joy?

I was also thinking about inheritance. What if you were given a ring or watch of value as your inheritance, but someone sold it to a pawn shop? You would go and buy that inheritance back…you would redeem it.

And that is what Jesus did for us He paid the price to buy us back, "His inheritance": back for Himself. He redeemed us. He is our Redeemer. 1 Peter 1: 18-22.
Back to Ps. 16: 10-11. His body would not see corruption.  The Father God would show Him the Path of Life…Resurrection.

   PRAISE GOD HE IS RISEN!!!

Think of the faith it took for Him to go through all His suffering. To lay His life down, believing He had the power to take it back. Believing His Father would preserve Him and show Him the Path of Life. Believing that it was worth it all so He could have you and me as His sheep…His children.

(First of all, what faith it took for Him to become a seed in Mary's womb; live a human life; knowing He was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the earth.)

The faith it took for Him to face the enemy in the wilderness: so He could be our faithful High Priest, who understands all our weaknesses and temptation…He showed us how to overcome. (We overcome by faith 1 John 5:4-5.)

What faith it took for Him to face the Garden of

Gethsemane and to yield to the Father's will. What

faith it took to set His face like a flint toward His

sufferings.  What faith it took when He cried "It is

finished." And when He said to His Father "Into Your

Hands I commit my spirit." No wonder faith pleases

Him…He is "Faith"!  He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Heb. 12:2.

Have you ever thought that it took "Christ's faith" for our salvation?
Now I'm going to ask you a way, far out question…

"Does this universe exist because God spoke it into existence "by faith?" Heb. 11:1-3… Rom. 4:17.

In Mark 11:22. Kenneth Copeland says the original interpretation of this is "Have the faith of God."

REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB

Gloria Phifer

Have you ever lost anything valuable? Did it mean enough to you that you would have bought it back if you could have?

A woman inherited a rare jewel. She had it fashioned into a necklace.
It was stolen by a thief.   Years later, as she walked down the main street of a large city, she passed a jewelry store. She glanced and then stopped. There in the window, on display, was her rare, jeweled necklace. She knew the only way she could have it back was to pay the price. When she purchased it, it belonged to her again. She had redeemed what had been stolen from her. It had been lost; now it was found…the price had been paid. The rare jewel had been redeemed and returned to the original owner
.
Ephesians 1: 6-7 In Whom (Christ) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace…

Redemption in Greek is "apolytrosis" (ap-ol-oo-tro-sis) "Ransom in full. Especially Christian salvation: deliverance, redemption. A releasing; affected by payment of ransom. Liberation procured by the payment of a ransom. This word is a compound of two other words.  "Apo" "which means "separation. A separation; of a part, from the whole. Any kind of separation of one thing from another by which the union or fellowship of the two is destroyed. Where, from some part of a whole, some part is taken. From another word "lytron". "A redemption price…atonement.

Thoughts on these words? What does the word separation mean to you? What about atonement?

What really spoke to me about these words was the separation of man from God.
How painful for the Lord to have this separation from mankind. How devastating was this separation for mankind. It meant…sin…total depravity, without the presence of God. The second word that stood out to me was Atonement.

What are your thoughts about the definition of "Apo"…A separation, of a part, from the whole? Clearly mankind was no longer whole without God. What about God? He had lost His fellowship with His creation…mankind.
Mankind can never be whole without God. That is why there is so much talk about feeling the hole inside you. The age old question…"why am I alive? What is life all about? What is my purpose?" These questions can only be answered through One…God. He fills the hole. He gives the purpose. He gives the reason for living. Col. 2:10. It is through Christ that we find our wholeness …our completeness.

Greek for complete is "pleroo"(play-ro-o). "Full, filled up (as opposed to empty). Of a surface, covered in every part. Of the soul, thoroughly permeated with. Complete, lacking nothing, perfect.

Wow! I don't know about you but this is wonderful!!! Don't you think? Do you see wholeness? Lacking nothing! Complete in Christ!

This is what our Father God wants for us is "wholeness." Being filled up with Him.

Nothing else will do. He has done this for us IN CHRIST.  By His grace.

We see through the word "Apo" the fellowship of the two had been destroyed. I was thinking back to the beginning of God and man. In the garden where He walked and talked with them….His creation…created in His image. His creation who could commune with Him. The one that was given speech.
Genesis 3:8 The Lord God came to the garden, in the cool of the evening and walked with Adam and Eve. They had once longed for and enjoyed His presence, now they hid themselves. The fellowship and wholeness had been destroyed.

One of the saddest words in the Bible…vs.9 "And the Lord God (Jehovah Elohim) called unto "Adam…where are you?" Genesis 5:1-2 He called their name Adam.
When He called "Adam where are you?" He was calling for both of them.
The fellowship had been destroyed. The separation had come.
                                     MANKIND WHERE ARE YOU?

The only way to have that separation repaired and restored was redemption. There would be a price that would be paid.
Gen. 3:14-15.A Promised Messiah…The Seed of the woman would come. In natural conception, the seed comes from the man and fertilizes the woman's egg. But this birth would be of God. The Seed of the woman.   The birth of the Seed of the woman would be Holy. Luke 1:26-35.
Luke 2:7-14.  vs. 14 what was God's purpose for mankind given by the angels?

1 John 4:7-10. Propitiation means "atonement".  Propitiation in Greek is "hilasmos" Atonement. And expiator: propitiation.
Romans 5:11 Atonement in Greek "katallage". Exchange. Restoration to the Divine favor: atonement. Reconciliation. Restoration of the favor of God to sinners that repent and put their trust in the expiatory death of Christ.  To reconcile (those who are at variance). Return to favor with. Be reconciled to one. To receive one into favor."

1 John 1:2-2. Propitiation for our sins. (Atonement.)
What are your thoughts on Atonement? Why was Jesus the Atonement for our sins?
Behold the Lamb of God…John 1:29.

Jesus came to restore our oneness with God: to restore our fellowship with our God.
He came to give us abundant life. John 10:10. In this scripture we also see the thief. The one who came to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8.

We have been bought back by a great price. 1 Peter 18-25. We have been redeemed by the precious Blood of Christ…a Lamb without blemish and without spot. He was foreordained before the foundation of the world and was manifest in these last times for you and me.

Maybe this won't hit you like it did me but when this thought came I was stunned.  The blood that was shed was the blood of God. For Jesus is not only the Son of God, He is God.
Is this as profound to you as it was to me?  John 1:1-4 and 14. The Word was God.

He has come to give us life. 1 John 5:10-15.  Our fellowship with the Father has been restored. Once again we can walk in His presence and hear His voice.
Rev. 5:9 For You were slain and have redeemed us to God…
We are the redeemed of the Lord. To God be the glory!!!
All week I have been thinking what David wrote and this is the way I feel…I am in awe…Ps. 8:4 "What is man, that You are mindful of him? And the son of man, that You visit him?"

Ps 107:2. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so... I AM THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD. IN CHRIST.

ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED.

Gloria Phifer

How important is acceptance to you?  Where do you find the most important acceptance of your life?

Ephesians 1:6. To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He has made us accepted in the Beloved.
Accepted in Greek is "charitoo" (khar-ee-too) To grace. Endue with special honor. Make accepted. To be highly favored. To make graceful, charming, lovely, agreeable. To peruse with grace. To compass with favor. To honor with blessings." (Compass means to surround.)

I love this word…what about you? What stands out to you in the Greek meaning of "accepted?"

Ps. 5:12 For You Lord will bless the righteous; with favor will you compass him as a shield.

Compass in Hebrew is "atar". "To encircle (for attack or protection) especially to crown. To surround. To crown…give a crown. Bestow er. (The One Who encircles and crowns.)

What are your thoughts about being encircled? Being crowned? Surrounded by favor? Having a shield of favor encircling you?
Do you see yourself as highly favored? What difference would it make in your life if you realized you are surrounded with favor? The difference in knowing you are totally accepted in the Beloved?
How would this knowledge, this belief affect your life? What perspective would you have? Would it change the way you see yourself?

In Psalm 5 Shield in Hebrew is "tsinnah (tsin-naw') A large shield. (As if guarding by prickliness.) It comes from a word that means to be "prickly, a thorn, a hedge."

Do you ever pray for a hedge of protection? I have.
We have a hedge of protection…the favor of God. Does this comfort you?

Beloved in Greek is "agapao" "To love dearly."

Christ is the dearly beloved of the Father.  He has made us accepted in the Beloved…IN CHRIST.
What are your thoughts, that you are accepted in the Beloved…you are accepted In Christ?

The Lord has brought this word "beloved" to me in a different way many times. It has always been … be…loved. To remember and to know that I am loved.

Notice: He has made us accepted. It is nothing we have done on our own. The praise goes to the glory of His grace. It is His grace that has made us accepted.

Grace…In Greek is "charis". "The Divine influence upon the heart, and it's reflection in the life: including acceptance, benefit, favor, gift, joy, liberality, pleasure. The merciful kindness, by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, and increases them in Christian faith." Notice grace is a "Gift".

Eph. 2:8. For by grace are you saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God.
What do you do with a gift?

What is the motivation of the Giver?  A price for this Gift has been paid for by the Giver.  John 3:16. God gave. 1 Cor. 6:20.  Here is our Beloved…John 1:14.
What does grace mean to you? John 1:17 the law was given by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.

Our proclamations:
v     I am a child of the Living God.
v     I am a son of God …John 1:12
v     I am chosen by God. Ephesians 1:4.
v     I am adopted by Jesus Christ Ephesians 1:5
v     I am accepted in the Beloved

JESUS, SIT ON THE THRONE OF MY HEART.

We have been studying who we are IN CHRIST and the privileges that come to us as a child of the Living God. The knowledge of who we are In Him and believing the truth of what the Word says is life changing.
John 3:16 God so loved you and I that He gave His very Best…His Son, Jesus Christ.
Our part is to believe and receive. We are receivers. Jesus did His part. He came to do His Father's will. He died and was resurrected on our behalf.

Our believing and receiving Jesus Christ, as we have been seeing, has made us "New". A new creation …a new man…a son of God. 2 Cor 5:17.

I've been thinking a lot this week about abdicating the throne of our own hearts.
Jesus laid down His life. John 10:15, 17-18.
When we give up our life to surrender to God…then we find true life. , John 12:25. Luke 9:24.
"It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom"…Luke 12:31-32. When we give up our own kingdom…our own control…and we seek His Kingdom…we receive the Kingdom that can never be shaken. An unshakeable Kingdom. Heb. 12:27-28 Ps 145:11-13. .
I want Jesus to sit on the throne of my heart and I want Him to rein in my life…how about you?

WHAT IS PREDESTIONATION?

PREDESTINED
Ephesians 1:5 having predestinated us unto adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.
Predestination is quite a subject.  The Greek word is "proozio" predetermine, ordain, determine before. In the NT of God, decreeing from eternity. Foreordain…appoint beforehand
.
We know the Lord has given us "free choice". As we saw last week to those who "received" and "believed" (John 1:12.) He gave power to become the sons of God. This accepting Christ, receiving and believing predestines us to being adopted.

God the Father wanted a family. He so loved "The World" that He gave His Only Begotten Son. John 3:16
Jesus took the sin of the whole world…John 1:29.  God predestined that He would have a family.  It is written John 3:15 whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Acts 2:21 …whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.

What I believe…Before the foundation of the world, the Trinity knew man would fall. A plan was put into place to save and redeem mankind. Because, we, His Creation, was so valuable to God. Rev. 13:8…the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
God predestined a plan of salvation.  A plan to redeem, save, adopt and make us sons of God.

God Loves You...He put in a plan of salvation for you!!!...Be the whosoever...believe and receive the Savior of the world...Jesus Christ...your life will take on "real life"!
Jesus said in in John 10:10..."I have come to give you life more abundantly." Choose Jesus and God's predestined plan of salvation.
